Privacy Policy

Cappee is operated by SAVARA SHESHOR BIN ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Cappee, why we collect it, and your choices. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Google sign-in: your name and email address, used to keep your account and plan on any device. We never see your Google password.
• Videos you caption: the video you upload and its audio, used only to create your captions and the captioned video.
• Payments: the plan you bought, the amount, and the payment or order ID (or the UPI transaction ID you enter). Card, bank and UPI details are handled by Razorpay or your UPI app; we never see or store them.
• Done-for-you orders: your name, email, video link and any notes you add.
• Creator listings: the profile details you submit. Your listing, including the contact details you choose to show, is public.
• Brand inquiries: your brand name, contact email and the details of your inquiry.
• Usage: a session cookie that keeps track of your free and paid captions, and which partner offers you click.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We share it only with the services that run Cappee, and only what each one needs:

• Google: sign-in.
• Cloudinary: stores and processes uploaded videos.
• Groq: turns your video's audio into text.
• Razorpay: processes card, netbanking and UPI payments.
• Supabase: our database.
• Resend: sends order and delivery emails.
• Google Cloud: hosts the website.

Some of these providers process data outside India. We may also share data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded videos stay stored until you delete them from the caption editor. We may also delete old videos at any time, so keep your own copy.
• Account, order and payment records are kept while your account is active and as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• The session cookie expires after 7 days.

Cookies

We use only the cookies Cappee needs to work: one that remembers your caption balance and the ones that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing support@cappee.in. We reply within 7 days. Deleting your account removes any unused captions or plan time.

Children

Cappee is not meant for children under 13. Users under 18 should use it with a parent or guardian's permission.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page.
